Mr. Jemmy Kartiwa Sastraatmadja is a prominent Indonesian industrialist and a respected voice in Southeast Asia’s textile and apparel industry. He currently serves as Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) for two consecutive terms (2020–2025 and 2025–2030), and as Chairman of the ASEAN Federation of Textile Industries (AFTEX) for the 2025–2026 term, coinciding with Indonesia’s chairmanship within ASEAN.
A graduate of California State University, San Bernardino, Mr. Jemmy is the President Director and owner of PT Silver Kris and PT Dhanar Mas Concern (DMC) two leading spinning companies based in West Java, Indonesia. Both companies are well recognized for their excellence in producing high-quality yarns for domestic and export markets, supported by continuous innovation, quality control, and skilled human resources. His commitment to industrial development reflects his broader vision of advancing Indonesia’s textile manufacturing capabilities through integration, modernization, and sustainability.
As Chairman of API, he has repositioned the association as a key policy partner for government and industry. Under his leadership, API has championed issues of industrial competitiveness, sustainability, trade fairness, and energy transition. Through close collaboration with ministries, business chambers, and international organizations, he has strengthened API’s advocacy in shaping a globally competitive and inclusive textile ecosystem.
At the regional level, as Chairman of AFTEX, Mr. Jemmy leads ASEAN’s efforts toward greater textile cooperation, focusing on green transformation, circular economy, digital integration, and resilient supply chains. He envisions ASEAN as a unified and sustainable textile hub that embodies innovation, fair labor, and environmental responsibility positioning the region as a key driver of global textile growth.
